Details, Emotions, Exquisite, Lovely, every aspect of your day.
Trust, Relax, Enjoy, Be Yourself. Every image will be Beautiful.
This is your time. How will you be remembered? It's all about you.
I believe we are not meant to draw straight lines. Beauty is all about curves. I love the imperfect lines of my subject wrapped in light. I believe photographs connect us to our past, present, and future. I believe every woman has the right to feel beautiful on her wedding day. I believe insecurities melt away when you can trust that who I am sees all the allure of your soul. To learn more about me check out my Bio.
On the morning of Good Friday I had a great time photographing Jake, a 2012 Independence High soon to Graduate Senior. His life according to his parents is being a drummer and thus was a big part of my session with him. As with most clients it takes a little while for anyone to relax when my camera is pointed at them, but having his drums seemed to really speed the process for him. So I'm really excited with the images we captured, and I think they do show who Jake is. I found him to be intelligent, calm, and ready to laugh at my 'lines' I use to help clients loosen up ( I find a little shocking take you off guard comments work best tee hee). We had a really good time, and I think I even managed to make it fun for him. My preference is for my clients to have a great time and realize it's not so bad having your portraits made, in fact it's fun and even pretty cool. I hope you enjoy my favorites from his session. If you mention you saw Jakes session when you book your session you'll earn a $10 discount on yours and a $10 cash bonus for Jake.
On the last Wednesday in March, my family was invited out to Fairview in the new Detour Sports Grill to a first time performance and video recording of: Danny McClelland and the Sons of Erin
They play a variety of music and everything they play comes from deep within the soul. We had such a great time it was family friendly, old friends, great music, and of course my passion, all in play. Yeah, I had a good time to say the least.
On their Facebook page this is how they describe their music: Danny McClelland and the Sons of Erin are a great Irish music band known for their song selection. After their Irish set they play way cool hang out covers by artists like BTO, Eagles, Oasis, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Cold Play.
Danny is the son of an old friend of mine. Lynette and I were neighbors back when our children were young and so were we, ha So when Dan Huisinga called and asked if we'd like to come it was a no brainer. I'm very happy we were there, and can't wait to meet up with them again, and hopefully we'll get the chance to attend more gigs for the band. The family has a right to be super proud of Danny's accomplishments. Appreciation for the good times is something this family knows all about.
If you recognize the Huisinga name it may be due to the fact that Danny's dad Dan is also a career music. Dan Huisinga has re-released some of his music from his old rock star days, check them out here: Dan H Band
