I believe we are not meant to draw straight lines. Beauty is all about curves. I love the imperfect lines of my subject wrapped in light. I believe photographs connect us to our past, present, and future. I believe every woman has the right to feel beautiful on her wedding day. I believe insecurities melt away when you can trust that who I am sees all the allure of your soul. To learn more about me check out my Bio.
An Independence High School senior requested to 'shadow' me on a portrait session for a school project. I was more than happy to give her a couple hours from my day. I asked my neighbor if we could borrow her lovely daughter Alex. I've secretly wanted to photograph Alex for a long time, she's so precious. I haven't been photographing as many children this past year as when I first started my business in 2007, and I really do miss working with them. They are challenging, fun, and unpredictable, not to mention that fact that most parents don't even realize how longs it's been since they've had a real portrait made of their school age child. Most of us end up looking back only to find their school head shots and a few vacation snap shots of those precious years that flew by. Where does the time go?
Alex reminded me of how fun and satisfying it is to capture a child in those special years that are gone before you know it. I highly recommend having your child professionally photographed at least once between the age of 6-12. Believe me it's not something you'll ever regret, make the time to prioritize a session for your child. Professional portrait sessions and their results can really boost a child's self esteem, and give you cherished portraits to enjoy for generations.

Spending a week with old friends, what could be better? ... Trick question,... of course it's getting to spend an afternoon photographing those friends in 'new to me' locations!
David & Heather, Dylan, Chad, and Koby Lambert have been our friends for nearly 20 years. It's hard to believe so much time has gone by since the first time I met Heather who was already living in my house at the time. (long story ha) We moved away from Louisiana nearly 12 years ago, and you know people are your forever friends when being together feels like you never left. Heather and I were suppose to raise our children as neighbors, her first is 2 weeks younger than my last. So it was bitter sweet when we had to go back home, and my children wished we really were neighbors all these years that have flown by.
At any rate, enough history. This is the now, a beautiful, fun loving, all about family, family. Meet the Lambert's! I think when you view their slide show you'll see how wonderfully amazing my dear friends are. Too I hope you can see how much I love them while you view this very personal and favorite slide show preview of our afternoon portrait session. :-) ENJOY!

"I love them! I am so excited. You were absolutely wonderful - I'd be happy to post a review for you if you'd like - just let me know where! Thank you so much."
