Last week we went on vacation to my husbands home town in Louisiana. We took an afternoon and drove across the Texas border to visit his 95 year old Grandmother. It was important to my father in law to have a few portraits because she is now a great great grandmother. So we made a special effort to capture this very important mile stone while we had the opportunity.
Louise is amazing to say the least. She is still very independent, doing her own grocery shopping, driving, and taking herself to appointments. One more thing to let you know she's as sharp as a tac, she does the New York times cross words, and knew all of our names and children's names even though we've rarely been able to visit. She is the mother of five boys, I'm not sure of the total number of grandchildren just on my husbands side there are eight, let alone great-grands, and now I believe two great great grands. Unfortunately not everyone was able to make it out on this day. I do know though that these portraits are special to all who were and were not able to be there.
I'm so privileged to be able to share the gift of quality portraits with my family. I love what I do and this one time where I really felt I was capturing portraits that would be cherished and enjoyed by many generations for a very long time.
