On the last Wednesday in March, my family was invited out to Fairview in the new Detour Sports Grill to a first time performance and video recording of: Danny McClelland and the Sons of Erin

They play a variety of music and everything they play comes from deep within the soul. We had such a great time it was family friendly, old friends, great music, and of course my passion, all in play. Yeah, I had a good time to say the least.

On their Facebook page this is how they describe their music: Danny McClelland and the Sons of Erin are a great Irish music band known for their song selection. After their Irish set they play way cool hang out covers by artists like BTO, Eagles, Oasis, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Cold Play.

Danny is the son of an old friend of mine. Lynette and I were neighbors back when our children were young and so were we, ha So when Dan Huisinga called and asked if we'd like to come it was a no brainer. I'm very happy we were there, and can't wait to meet up with them again, and hopefully we'll get the chance to attend more gigs for the band. The family has a right to be super proud of Danny's accomplishments. Appreciation for the good times is something this family knows all about.
